Question by yayitsme: Why is my tooth aching even though I’m not doing anything?
I just got fillings almost a month ago and it didn’t hurt this much before I got the it. What do you think is wrong? My other tooth hurts when I eat or drink something cold. Another problem is my other tooth hurts when I chew. Another problem is my tooth is aching even though I’m not doing anything (yes it hurts right now). Please help me. What’s the problem? Is it my dentist? I think nothing felt better ever since he started working on my teeth.

he maynot have filled it correctly or completely. you may consider going back to the dentist and having him look at it or switching dentists.you probably also have sensitive teeth. try Crest Pro-Health Sensitive Sheild or, frankly, any other sensitivity toothpaste. and don’t drink cold drinks. you can put them in the fridge, but take them out about 5-10 minutes before drinking it. Hope I helped.

It could be a cavity that reaches into the nerve or an abscessed tooth. Not necessarily the dentists problem but if it is a cavity the dentist should have caught it your last visit. It takes an xray to see an abscess. An abscess requires treatment. Sometimes your bite changes and two teeth beat on each other causing pain. Sometimes something gets stuck between two teeth and the pressures causes pain. Brush well, floss, use mouthwash, and a water pick to see if that helps. If you can wiggle the tooth that is in pain see the dentist.
